Can you tell me what you're thinking?
I just melt inside your eyes
Kiss me like they do in movies
Modern child of the night
I was watching you for hours
Standing there beside the pool
When you wear those pretty dresses
I forget the girl in you
Run away
Run away
Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
Am I wrong for loving Lola?
Am I wrong for what I think?
She is such a wicked child
Painted lips
Dirty knees
Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
I hear the devil calling
He's waiting for my move
I shall allow the beater
You are my heart and soul
My Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
My Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
My Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
I just melt inside your eyes
Kiss me like they do in movies
Modern child of the night
Standing there beside the pool
When you wear those pretty dresses
I forget the girl in you
Run away
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
Am I wrong for what I think?
She is such a wicked child
Dirty knees
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
He's waiting for my move
I shall allow the beater
You are my heart and soul
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
She's wanting more, she's wanting more
My Lola is on the floor
She's wanting more, she's wanting more

meekly peeks out of shadows
I don't think the term "Lolita" is at all literal. The song seems to be about falling in love with a harlot. Calling her a "wicked child" and "modern child of the night" are just euphemisms. "Lola" is just a slut, but the speaker sees her as the elegant "Lolita", ripe with mystery and intrigue. What she looks like, how the speaker sees her, and what she really is are very, very different things =]
this song is god. my favorite part..."painted lips, dirty knees..." it just sounds wicked sensual. also, i think lola is a nickname for lolita? and by the way, obviously, it totally comes from that book. but yeah, i'm done.
that was one of the greatest books ever. both of the movies based off of it were wonderful aswell.
Older man falls in love with a nymphette seductress of a little girl.
i've had this album forever.. and it's not even released yet crazy fitting that this is one of my favorite songs.. and it looks like it's the new single
I'm guessing from the lyrics...
A shared-affection case of pedophilic poon punchin'. =)
Lola is on the floor... She's wanting more, she's wanting more...
(I'm gonna be singing that all night.)
awesome song, yeh meaning isnt too hard to figure out, like the movie Lolita, directed by Stanley Kubrik, old man falls in love with a 16-year old
I love sleaze more than most.
I would like some examples of other sleezy rock songs that this imitates.
Kubrik should have stuck with the book. She was 12.
I came to see what other people thought about this song because the line "when you wear those pretty dresses I forget the girl in you" is off synch with all the other references to the story of Lolita, where the man is a pedophile that is not arroused by preteen girls dressing like women, but by preteen girls being preteen girls. And I'm pretty sure Lolita never wore dresses. Anyway, I'm nit picking. It's awesome song by an awesome band. Gotta go get me some nymphet love now.
i think the lyrics are "i shout outloud 'Lolita, you are my heart and soul!'" Yeah, i love this song soooo much. >:D Also, nefariousyawn, Humbert bought Lo alot of pretty, expensive clothing in the book- i'm sure some of it must have been dresses! Weither she wore them is a different story, though! lol
ya he so says "I shout outloud Lolita" not "I shall allow the beater"
