Silenced Lyrics

Sticker this
Censor this
Ban this
We've got something to say!
Release this
Condemn this
Damn this
We'll be heard anyway!
The middle finger is the flag that I wave when I'm silenced
(Listen here)

Is it a possibility,
That we're all just equal?
Slap the power down
(Abusing)
Oh doesn't it piss you off,
To be beaten at your own game?
You lead us with false morals
And shelter reality!
(No more)
We're not buying your product but you sell it to us preaching silence!

Insult me in my home
Where you were never invited
To live life on your curb
(Frustrating)
Throw sticks into the spokes
To relieve insecurities
Stifle all dissention
And sticker our freedom of speech!
(So wrong)

We'll be heard anyway!
The middle finger is the flag that I wave when I'm silenced
(Silenced)

Don't tell me what I want
Don't tell me what I need
Don't tell me how I need to feel
I feel
Goddamn nothing!
Through the eyesores on my face
I can still see right fucking through you
Fuck you and everything you are
I feel were all still mental.
Closed eyes while you fucking criticize
keep your policy
and try to exploit me
Fabricate your lies
We have burned these ghosts just to bleed out in silence!
(Listen here)

Stand on my soapbox
And speak my own piece
Whatever you may think
(It's real)
to go through what is me
And step on your beliefs
Need these bodies to sell us
Robbing our integrity!
(Bring it on)

I agree partly with codycurth. My interpretation of this song is someone who is sick and tired of feeling feeble and weak. Sick and tired of everyone else dictating how his life should be, and how he feels emotionally and spiritually numbed because of the constant indoctrination and dehumanization our government imposes upon us. To quote a favorite movie, "We have no great war, no great depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives." Our education system is a sad joke, instead of teaching us valuable things, biased and subjective information is drilled into our heads until we believe it. We're told to think for ourselves, but this means sharing the same universal 'opinion.' Everywhere I go, hollow conversation is being made. Modern religion in America is nothing but another motif for control. Our government is engineering disasters, then stepping in and proclaiming to have all the answers. They've forgotten the important aspects of our system, but apparently so have the American people. We are continually stripped of rights, among other things. I find myself feeling numb, in a world that seems so fake. Sadly, it's all a reality. This song is about someone who's just really fuckign sick of it, this perpetual decline.

it's obviously IS an attack on censorship, also on how labels critisize music for what it really is and turning a blind eye to the fact that censorship ruins individuality. Also the censorship board are a bunch of closeminded assfucks.

"Insult me in my home When you were never invited" Insult the music that one has made by saying that it's not suitable to listen to. In short, insulting the person themself.

yeah i agree that the song is about censorship but i also believe that it is also a bash on the american ways on how everyone has high standards on how things should be

We'll be heard anyway!

The middle finger is the flag that I wave when I'm silenced

the middle finger is the flag he is replacing the american flag with his finger to every member of society that is like you said fuck you cant say that and no matter how many people try to shut him up he will be heard because cenorship pisses him off and he will do what it takes to stop it

guys cmon. this isnt just about censorship, its about the united states government. they control us with TV and Advertisements. our human rights mean nothing anymore. we are no longer people but consumers. they have fed us tainted food which makes us extremely unhealthy and many times obese, and this is the only food made affordable. they tempt us with sex. use tv to make you hate your own reality. it becomes a most influential addiction, one which you may never know you had. they make you think youre up to date by throwing politics and drama at you. politics are a lie, a cover up. and the few people who arent blind to their new world order, are killed, or imprisoned. we have no freedom of speach, no freedom of expression. it was all a lie. and one day Very soon, we will all wake up and realize this. but it will be all too late.

LISTEN to mudvaynes lyrics. a good percentage are about new world order and this tyrannous government we are so proud to be mind fucked by.

We are told that we're nothing but a succession of occurences and experiences, mere memories. Not really people. And anyone who says they can alleviate that sense of utter worhtlessness is nominated our savior. Even if we don't have control over our lives, if someone promises TO control, then they've earned our faith. Funny thing is, this has happened so many times throughout history. Have we truly forgotten what it means to be human?

Not just censorship, not just anti-government, it makes me think of the anger that militant atheists get for fighting back against the establishment. I'm talking about things like the atheist billboard in Charlotte, NC that had to be taken down because religious types issued credible death threats.

Some of the lines that I can relate to are:

Is it a possibility That we're all just equal ... You lead us with false morals and shelter reality No more, we're not buying your product when You're selling The words preaching silence ... Insult me in my home, When you were never invited ... Throw sticks into the spokes To relieve insecurities Stifle all dissention

And of course:

Middle finger is the flag that I wave when I'm silenced
