Teenage Graffiti Lyrics

Teenage graffiti
Shut your mouth, shut off the tv
Aint got no money honey, I dont mind
Teenage graffiti
Slam the door when your defeated
We're all a victim if you give us time,
We're all a victim of the times

So put your money where your mouth is honey
My generations got it bad
When everybodies talking circles better get up, get out, put out, we've got a world to burn

Teenage graffiti
Empty bottles lie beneath me
Drank away my money, drank away my time
Teenage graffiti
Shut your mouth, shut off the tv
Aint got no money honey, I dont mind
Where we're goin we wont spend a dime.

So put your money where your mouth is honey
My generations got it bad
When everybodies talking circles better get up, get out, put out, we've got a world to burn

And I dont wanna see your bedroom sugar
I'm not lookin for love
But when you call me a pretender
You know you shatter my heart

So put your money where your mouth is honey
My generations got it bad
When everybodies talking shit you better get up, get out, put out we've got a world to burn.

So put your money where your mouth is honey
My generations got it oh so bad
When everybodies talking circles better get up, get out, put out, we've got a world to burn

i'm not so for sure about the meaning of the song but i think that the teenage graffiti is a metephore for permanent damage in the teenage years or if youre looking at grafiti as art then the art of being a teenager...i know im totally wrong but its the only meaning that i can think of plus not much is making sense now so my words are messed and mixed...anyways yeah im the first to comment :D peace

I'm not really sure what the song really means either. And I think what .::.Tralalalala.::.'s explaination is a really good one.

i think its just wanting to go out and destroy the world when the adults arent looking (When everybodies talking circles better get up, get out, put out, we've got a world to burn)

they're damange isnt really perment or painful. its harmless like graffiti.

its just what you sing when you go out looking for something exciting and just go be young and reckless.

when it says "But when you call me a pretender You know you shatter my heart" its referring to The Exploding Hearts song I'm a Pretender.

"So put your money where your mouth is honey My generations got it bad"

I feel; this line is talking about how adults our hypocritical because they were just as rebellious as teens and we are. and every generations the same,.
