Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.

this song is so sad, so very spirtual it made me cry, seems to be about growing and still not feeling like you've got anything good to show for your life, and not being able to end your life, just drifting through life looking for your faith and for your love

This Longing seems to be a fan favourite. It's about the same theme and idea the runs through every song on the album. It's about just living to drift from day to day without knowing whats out there for us, or what awaits us in the afterlife, or how to even live life. That's what being 'in the dark' means. And trying to figure it all out takes "from your breathe" meaning, its tireing and hard to do. The endless longing is that feeling to really want to discover why were here and what gives purpose to our lives and wait awaits us when we die...if anything. It's something that I was plagued with for a very long time, and I'm not sure I'll ever not be.

This is probably my favorite song on the entire cd, I could listen to it over and over. I think it's about a man who has lost all of his addictions and self-destructive coping mechanisms and now he's left empty because it's all he's ever known. The angels would symbolize his better jugement on his previous behavior, the demons would stand for his past. He seems haunted and confused between the difference between right and wrong mostly because what was wrong before was technically right, and what is right now, doesn't quite feel like himself.

well, that was a shot in the dark.
