:) I don't think I'll ever forget this song. It's about envy by the way. He's a jealous guy and envious of the girl.
he likes the girl a bit more than she likes him. he's wanting to be with her all the time, and she just kind of blows him off.
a guy is obviously in love with his girl.
the girl is very casual with their relationship. she doesnt mind being apart from her lover. he wants to be with her all the time. they want different things.
and in the end it doesnt work out between them.
I don't like this song. It's actually somewhat serious sounding. :(
The line, "Cause in your plans you were all for me" Is actually, in my plans you were all for me. Thereby changing the meaning like a lot. Haha.
And I really like this song. I just want to find some sort of deeper meaning. xD
This song actually has a really deep and emotional meaning. The guy seems to be very much in love with the girl in the song, but perhaps his love is not returned.... without knowing how much he really cares, she leaves. Perhaps she is moving away, going to a new job, going off to college far away ("you sound so much further on the phone"), and he is left wondering why she left when they were so perfect together just as they were.
Really, it's about a difference of priorities. One thinks that love will bring him the happiness he needs, and the other doesn't take him seriously and thinks her happiness is somewhere else far away.
I think this is the same guy from Good Day because of the start of the song being in Good Day (this works with WTTH & TFAR because WTTH is about TH at Marvin's while TFAR is about Marvin himself) so I think the girl he misses is the same one from that song "Come here and sit down I'm so glad you even really truly came" and "We can even go and take a walk or something like that or something like that" suggest they're on a date which means that here in Greener it didn't work out as also seen in Good Day with "I thought you knew I knew but why and bye and why and bye and bye. I wanted you to know I thought you knew my why and bye and why"
