i think this is pretty much about this girl who likes this guy, but he doesn't even notice her...

I think this girl has something with this guy... but they dont talk about what they feel for each other.. so she tells him to give her a "chance" to show him how awesome it would be if they... get together...
I think this is more about people in general. Think of the narrator as a street performer in a huge city, talking to the people who pass her by every day and won't remember her face in five seconds. Or she sees a certain guy walking past her every day and he never knows she's there...oh the angst! really good song.
