I believe this song was in the movie "When the Wind Blows" (based on the graphic novel by Raymond Briggs). It was playing on the radio a minute or two before the bomb hit.

Memory

------------------------- Nice instrumental to play out an epic eighties album. Love the guitar work in this.

I first heard this instrumental on an episode of Magnum P.I titled "Unfinished Business".

this song is so beautiful

i think it is about a man from england who becomes a missionary. he travels to peru to aid the struggling people there, but they capture him and torture him instead. as time passes by, neighboring tribes and villages learn of the captive in the peruvian town. this song chronicles his epic struggle for survival as he endures lashings, floggings, lynchings, and the firing squad every day. towards the end of the song, which the lyrics clearly illustrate, he escapes to neighboring brazil. but he is still so used to the harsh and primitive lifestyle of the mud-covered world that he assimilates to the less-than-favorable conditions
