this is one of the best TLE songs ever made! its something unexpected but really beautiful :) CoinXOperatedXGirl (hello friend!!) you've pretty muched summed up the entire song and saved me a lot of time haha but i just wanted to say how much i love this song! the lyrics are strong and the music executes the sad emotion of the song "nothing lasts forever..everything dies eventually"
Woah! Booyah! First to comment on one of TLE's greatest songs on the 'State of Emergency' album! Hmm... pressures on! nah, but i love this song so much, it is sad when you listen to it's lyrics 'close your eyes, if you don't want to see' v powerful line. Is it just me, or doesn't it go 'everything dies, eventually' not 'if he dies, eventually?' Hmm... Maybe it's just me. My two cents, it's about a man and a woman, they are, technically in a relationship, however, the song is portrayed as if the man has somewhat of a double life. Like, a con artist. I love the line, 'He said if you stick with me then you know we'll be all right, a family for the rest of our lives and I'll always be by your side. And that's when she cried' It's extremely ironic, because later, we find out that the man has practically, ditched his wife, and has moved onto another life, a new wife, a new neighbourhood 'He's walking out of the door and into a new life. We then find out, that the man cons he's new wife again, because the same vese near the beginning, is kind of repeated: He says he's been at the pub with the boys all the night, she acts as if she don't know says it's all right. I think it might of been about chris's parents because the people in the videoclip are fairly old. And some of the lyrics seem like that. What do you reckon?
this so is by far my favorite on the album. but i was really really disapointed that they didn't play this song on their first state of emergency tour in may. i love the lyrics 'nothing lasts forever... everything dies, eventually ... close your eyes, you don't wanna see' love the living end xo
i really like this song because i go by 'nothing lasts forever' in life. its really true... chris cheneys voice is so nice..it gets better in every song nd i think this album shows his vocals a lot more
