Black Cat Lyrics
Is it any wonder,
That you have fallen down on your knees
You'd better take cover,
It's gonna spread around like a disease
Now you have gone under,
You got caught running from the sea
You'd better take cover,
It's gonna take you down like a disease
Gonna make you suffer,
Face up to your responsibilities
Is it any wonder,
That you have fallen down on your knees, on your knees, on your knees
And there's a black cat waiting for the moment to strike
Crossing your path at the dead of midnight
A black cat waiting for the moment to strike
I know you can't explain,
Why you take more than what you need
Looking for someone to blame,
But you were blinded by what you see
The seeds that you sow,
Prove to be nothing more than weeds
And the life you've known,
Won't be the same at it used to be, used to be
What you get isn't always what you see
And there's a black cat waiting for the moment to strike
Crossing your path at the dead of midnight
A black cat waiting for the moment to strike
And there's a black cat waiting for the moment to strike
Maybe next time you'd better think twice
A black cat waiting for the moment to strike
And there's a black cat waiting for the moment to strike
Crossing your path at the dead of midnight
A black cat waiting for the moment to strike
And there's a black cat waiting for the moment to strike
Maybe next time you'd better think twice
A black cat waiting for the moment to strike
That you have fallen down on your knees
You'd better take cover,
It's gonna spread around like a disease
You got caught running from the sea
You'd better take cover,
It's gonna take you down like a disease
Gonna make you suffer,
Face up to your responsibilities
Is it any wonder,
That you have fallen down on your knees, on your knees, on your knees
Crossing your path at the dead of midnight
A black cat waiting for the moment to strike
Why you take more than what you need
Looking for someone to blame,
But you were blinded by what you see
The seeds that you sow,
Prove to be nothing more than weeds
And the life you've known,

Crossing your path at the dead of midnight
A black cat waiting for the moment to strike

A black cat waiting for the moment to strike
Crossing your path at the dead of midnight

A black cat waiting for the moment to strike

aweeeeesome song..black cats are usually a sign of bad luck, so maybe its about being out of luck?
Whoever he's talking about is gonna get what they deserve. It won't be good.
2 comments? This is some of The Living End's finest! Comon people! Im not really sure of the meaning....
it's about superstitions, top song!
I think its like, no matter where you go, bad luck is gonna follow.
Seems to be about a person that has done terrible things, and karma will catch up with up sometime. The black cat (karma) will get them when they least expect it.
I like boytoye's explanation best, that Karma will catch up with you when you least expect it, waiting for the best time you get you back.
