The Most Beautiful Nightmare: Part Two Lyrics

Yesterday ignites a star that's burned and dead
we are looking for this heartbead laying cold beside my chest
As I hold you for the very last time, we'll burn together
to say enough to show me
yeah, that waas the first time
(And the last time).

Heads Rolling, Heads Rolling, it never felt so good!
Heads Rolling, Heads Rolling, it never felt so good!

The Killer prays, lights a match with his own eyes
still searching for that heartbeat
as the coffin burns out bright
As I hold you,
as they bury us in gold
For the last time
Would you say enough to show me with your eyes?

That was the moment we were told

Heads Rolling, Heads Rolling, it never felt so good!

In these arms would you care enough to dance?
As I'm searching for this heartbeat, and I knew it wouldn't last
Would you carry on the same
Would you know that I'm okay with you...
For the last time?

So please don't make a sound
That was the first time, and the last
Broken pictures of a face I can't ignore

Your eyes, your eyes, so blue!
Yesterday ignites a star that's burned and dead
we are looking for that heartbeat laying cold upon my chest
As I hold you
For the very last time
We'll burn together
To say enough to show me...

...with your eyes.

this song would be one of the best ever written if it wasn't for the "heads rolling" part that they added in to feel more hardcore. i love IAG, don't get me wrong, but they didn't need that.

"Would you carry on the same Would you know that I'm okay?" this part gives me the chills.

Sorry to disappoint you scene kids but not all songs are broken up into verse-chorus-verse-chorus-breakdown-bridge-chorus, I know this is probably really hard to understand just try to imagine if you will that not everything comes from a mold like you.

The "heads rolling" part is not in there to be "more hardcore" (whatever that means) if you listen to the entire CD most of their songs have that feel. It is used to break up the upbeat, interweaving subtle harmony used in the rest of the song, thus giving it more power. It shows different emotion, or possibly a different prospective.

Thank you! +

yeah. i haven't listened to the EP in so long. xD

But i forgot how much i love this song.

aaand i kind of agree with the previous comment. the 'heads rolling' part is kind of out of place, but i think it adds a nice touch. :D

haramurder.. you'll probably never read this but i know exactly what you mean about that part.. it gives me the chills too.. AMAZING, just like the rest of the song.

I'll admit that the chorus leaves something to be desired.. but the flawless flow of the verses and his voice makes up for it.
