Little Brother Lyrics
Ohhh.....
Hey little brother, you’ve got so much to discover
Can’t you conceptualize what you’re doing to our mother
Those drugs that you choose
Leave you left with the blues
Trust me I‘ve been there
To me it's old news
Pending disaster
You’re heading there faster
It's tearing me up
To know you get so plastered
Because you’re caught up in the scene at the age of nineteen
Maybe so was I at that age but I had a dream
And those goddamn powder drugs
They’ll fill you with doubt
You’re just getting sucked on up in it
And you have to break out
You blacked out on the floor
You told me, the next day they found you that way
Those damn medications had your back baby
It hurt when they took them all away
You’re feeling so bad
You’re looking for a place to land
Help me understand
How in hell it got so out of hand
I know that it's hard
But you’re risking being permanently scarred
You’re hurting inside
So you’re flirting with tragedy on the dark side
Those drugs that you choose
Leave you left with the blues
Trust me I’ve been there
To me it's old news
Hey little brother
You messed up another chance
Sooner or later you must take a stand
At the edge of it
All where you begin
To consume that product to its very end
How much time is left
Will you collapse
Will you confess you're in a spiritless void
Spinning into excess
You blacked out on the floor
You told me, the next day they found you that way
Those damn medications had your back baby
It hurt when they took them all away
You’re feeling so bad
You’re looking for a place to land

Its a pretty good song but its kinda diffrent when SA starts to sing but its cool tho....its kinda hard to find cuz theres a instumental verison of it and then theres the one with the lyrics.
Well there's many demos. There's the instrumental, the mumble (mumbling sounds to get an idea of what it'll sound like), the demo, and the finished version. This is the finished.
Who do you think this song is about? I thought at first that it was about Nick's brother, Zack. But I don't think Zack's on a downward spiral of drugs or anything. And, you can find the full, final version on either the iTunes music store, or on the DTOM vinyl.
I't could be about hexum himself, he was involved in serious grugs abuse, back then was whe he wrote I'll be here awhile, so, it could be him reminding himself what he went trough
i'm sure it's about zack, otherwise it wouldn't be called little brother.

in homebrew, nick sings about doing a lot of drugs when he was 19; seems like his brother's going down the sam path.
on wikipedia, it says zack was born in 1978. he would've been 19 in 1997. wonder if this song was a demo or outtake from transistor?
It's a B-Side off of Don't Tread On Me, it's not about Nick, and it's not about Zack. It's about Nick's other little brother, i forget his name, but he has another younger brother.
ahhh word....Ive wondered whos little brother this was for a while. UPLIFTER IN JUNNNNNNNNE09!
It is about Nick's half brother, Patrick.
This is a great song with a great message. 311 is known for the use of drugs, hell they have written songs called whose got the herb and hydroponic. However in song hydroponic, they write,"Everything I eat is from the Earth, right. I am what I eat straight up Earth, right." They are not afraid to let me know that they smoke weed and take the hydroponic drugs. However, they know the dangers of manufactured drugs, such a heroin, meth, and perscription pills, which is exaclty what I believe. There is nothing wrong with smoking pot or eating psychedelic mushrooms, because they are not that harmful.
