Mmkay so, "You understand mechanical hands are the ruler of everything" = "Time rules everything" Hands on a clock, that type of thing.

Zirconium = Used to make fake diamonds, while pretty, has no real value.

The deep voice is time, and the higher voice is people. Esp. during "do you like how I walk, do you like how I talk"/"do you like how my face disintergrates into chalk" - Showing ageing.

People are egocentric; we consider ourselves important. We can do things like make money and start families. The material possessions "you" or people in general, surround themselves with, can do nothing against the flow of time.

This is quite a cynical song if you think about it. Haha.
