Its basically about frustrated with what the word is (or more specifially, isn't) giving him.
I didnt read everybody's answers but i thought it was about waking up and realising that times passing/past by and realising that lifes going no where. i do love this song tho whatever the meaning.
I love this song, when i first listened to it what stuck out to me was the lyric “i would sleep like a dog if you had never of said” then he pauses and says “this is the world coming down on you head”. I interpreted it to maybe he was on the phone to an ex/girlfriend the night before, they ended things or she said something that had made him realise they are coming to an end. He would of ‘slept like a dog’ if she had never of said it. Especially the pause between said and this. Him waking up from that and the realisation hitting him, “feeling the world falling down on his head”.

Nice song, although I feel Yellowcard is pretty different from Ocean Avenue. Also, I believe the line "So write my line" is actually "so line by line."
