wow, no way, toughguy, it's basically stated in the song he becomes preoccupied with other things and doesn't pay attention to what matters, he misses important events, and she takes pictures for him, but it doesn't really work

i think this is basically what Nienna7 said, he's missing out on things, maybe he's too busy with work or something and he's neglecting the small things that mean the most in his relationship, and the girl's like, well it's your fault, you're missing all this stuff, and i think 'i'll take some pictures for myself' is her way of saying, look i don't need you, i can live without you. but i think it's an empty threat and she loves him too much to leave.

whoa the version i have of this song is pretty different like this part: "Why must I stay here When my friends have left and waved me come with Cause I have lost all of them They’re prints in a box when my memory stops" isn't even in it

To me, this song is about a relationship in which the girl demands all of the boy's time and attention. Because of this, he loses contact with his friends, and has no time to do fun things. The 'apologies' are from the boy to the girl, because he will spend less of his time with her. Don't really know what to make of the 'pictures' part though...

I think that in this song the guy is sick and dying in a hospital. The girl is visiting him and taking pictures of the life he's missing out on. He's saying that he should have paid more attention to the small things. The guy is apologizing because he's not there for the girl, and for all his friends.

It's also possible that the guy has some disease that causes him to forget things, which is why he needs the pictures of his friends and family. This is referred to as "They're prints in a box when my memory stops". But that could just be refering to death.

The song is titled "My apologies" because that's what everyone says when someone close to you dies.

This song screams of drugs to me. when you are on hard drugs, not only do you miss out on everything because you are too stoned, but the things that you are sober for... you forget in a few months because your brain is messed up so bad. maybe his friends are all the people he did drugs with and thats why he lost all of them when he is making his apology and why he forgot every memory he had of them, when he still seems to remember the girl. maybe she was his best friend before.
