"Echo" as written by Rufio Sandilands, Rocky Morris and Jade Caswell....
You are the lighthouse, the seamark
The tempests created this tide
I'm pulled to the black silver ocean
Where the current and the heavens collide

You are the brick
I am so unpredictable
Led by the current away
Your solid stage is so necessary to save
All those who stray

You are the navigator who never could lead
We were lost in the silver sea
I was the ship who was too proud to ever sink.

I am your thought but the water is amnesia
My name is on the tip of your tongue
My image is slipping
But your memory is gripping it
This is my breath in your lungs

You are the navigator who never could lead
We were lost in the silver sea
I was the ship who was too proud to ever sink.

Echo, my voice is an echo
Of places I don't know
And stories I've been told

Echo. We all are connected
A lighthouse a voyage
For history's sake,
Will you please take notice?

General Commentthis song is amazing, the way it progress... woah
these guys have a fantastic way with words.
it makes me think of memories, and how its so hard to hold onto everything no matter how hard we try.
especially if your memory is as crap as mine

General CommentI prefer the more upbeat part of the song, because the beginning [your all gunna hate me for this] sounds exactly like You Are The Moon.

General CommentIt reminds me of my relationship with my mother too. She's always the solid, stedy one, and I'm the wild child.

Also reminds me of Endless Sunshine on the Spotless Mind...

and I doo see some lines that could reference Bush....

Ah, damn, I just don't know where I'm going with this song.

    I do love this song.

General Commentthis song for me is about a couple who try to make it work but they keep arguing and the "echo" is the repeated arguments they will always have if they dont try to improve their relationship.

My InterpretationI think it's about a relationship where the man was the foundation who held them together, but she could never fully commit. They become lost in love with one another, allowing it to continue into this dismal constant of no progression. She can just never fully "sink" into the relationship and embrace it the way he does.

No matter how hard he tried, he could never hold on to her, as the memory of once was or what could have been slowly fades away like an echo. He's only heard of the love he's searching for and will never know what it's like as he begs for someone to take notice to be the love he desperately needs.

General CommentThis song reminds me of my mother and how we butt heads all the time. I heard this after I ran away from home and I cried so hard because what we had had all been destroyed. :-(
