10 Rings Lyrics
Learn to live with decisions that you made
Learned things from the break that I can't forget
Catch you doing drive-bys at one a.m.
It must kill you to know that we can't be friends
End of the summer, you cut me off
I cut you out of the pictures I have
End of the summer, you cut me off
I cut you out of all the pictures I have
Stop calling my house
Stop calling my house
My house, my house, my house
(Stop calling my house)
My house, my house, my house, my house
Living room, answering machine turned off
Ten rings ‘till I pick up and you hang up
You made your bed to lie here with someone else
Guess you better watch what you wish for
End of the summer, you cut me off
I cut you out of the pictures I have
End of the summer, you cut me off
I cut you out of all the pictures I have
Stop calling my house
Stop calling my house
My house, my house, my house
(Stop calling my house)
My house, my house, my house, my house
Stop calling my house
My house, my house, my house
There's nothing left to say
I won't answer the phone
Your obsession is starting to lose its charm
Nothing left to say
I won't answer the phone
We're over and done
Stop calling my house
Learned things from the break that I can't forget
Catch you doing drive-bys at one a.m.
It must kill you to know that we can't be friends
I cut you out of the pictures I have
End of the summer, you cut me off
I cut you out of all the pictures I have
Stop calling my house
My house, my house, my house
(Stop calling my house)
My house, my house, my house, my house
Ten rings ‘till I pick up and you hang up
You made your bed to lie here with someone else
Guess you better watch what you wish for
I cut you out of the pictures I have
End of the summer, you cut me off
I cut you out of all the pictures I have
Stop calling my house
My house, my house, my house
(Stop calling my house)
My house, my house, my house, my house
Stop calling my house
My house, my house, my house
I won't answer the phone
Your obsession is starting to lose its charm
Nothing left to say
I won't answer the phone
We're over and done
Stop calling my house

I'm thinking this kinna goes hand in hand with "P.S. Don't Write" In this song, Frank (or whoever the character is) is long gone. The cheating girlfriend tries to track him down and win him back. He's obviously not interested considering she broke his heart. He tells her to 'stop calling his house' and he catches her doing 'drive-bys at one AM'.
He doesn't want anything more to do with her. Its over and done.
And plus, this is one kick ass song. (=
I think this song is about a break up in which both people try to still be friends, and then one of them, the one who was betrayed in the first place, finally says they are not so desperate and really don't need the other person anymore at all. The other person, though, ruined the relationship in the first place and isn't used to the other's newfound self respect and keeps calling and "doing drive bys".
This is an "I'm over you." anthem. Love it.
I'm guessing this is one of those break up things. The stalkerish cheating ex, and he's fed up with all the drive bys and one-ended phone calls. Basically this is an "Eff off I want nothing to do with you" song. An awesome eff off song, might I add.
