My Home Is In Your Head Lyrics
You want to be free
Don't act like it's bad
I'm already dead
My home is your head
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need
You're a suicide
Only out for revenge
You can't controll my mind
If I don't believe your're gonna try
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need
You want to be free
Don't act like it's bad
I'm already dead
My home is your head
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need
Don't act like it's bad
I'm already dead
My home is your head
Can't get what we need
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need
Only out for revenge
You can't controll my mind
If I don't believe your're gonna try
Can't get what we need
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need
Don't act like it's bad
I'm already dead
My home is your head
Can't get what we need
Hey You and me
Can't get what we need

It's a beautiful song. I'm not completely sure what it is saying, but what I took from it was just someone being unhappy with certain circumstances in their life. They're feeling let down. Saying they are already dead is like saying they have already given up hope as they are not finding what they 'need'.
Although, when I initially heard it I thought it was about drug usage. Who knows!
Well the first bit seemed to be someone who is already dead and it just lives inside the other person but the third paragraph kinda leaves me confused.
To me the third paragraph seems to be about someone who wants to blackmail someone by saying that he wants to commit suicide (because of revenge) so that the other person feels bad. But blackmailing does not seem to be successful because the second person doesn´t actually believe that the first one is gonna kill himself. "You can't controll my mind If I don't believe your're gonna try "

At first I thought it was a song about a couple. In which presents manipulative type of relationship. Where one of partners (let's call him partner nr.1) wants to be free, but feels sorry for it. Like still holding a hope. But the other partner (partner nr.2) is already dead, as if he doesn't need anything. And only place where he is present is in partner's nr.1 head(like in memories the way he was, when he wasn't "dead"). So partner nr.1 manipulates with suicide out of revenge, for other partner's coldness. And they both want something, but can't get it.
Second thought came later. As singer is the inner voice of main character of the song. Like alter ego singing to himself.
