Rhythm Song Lyrics
I'm tired of the lost so left alone
Surrounded by the souls I've thrown
Arriving just in time to see the earth destroyed, yeah
I said drag me there, or just take me home
See I don't mod rock
Someday or never
But I just keep rolling, rolling
Protected by the saints in all 50 states
American minds destined to be great
I'm from around here so I should know, yeah, I said yeah
I said drag me home or just, take me home
I said I'm waiting oh just say my darling
Rolling, rolling
I said yeah
I'm tired of the loss so left alone
Surrounded by the stones I've thrown
Arriving just in time to see the earth destroyed, yeah
I said drag me there, or just, just take me home
Cause I'm leaving
And I'm rolling, rolling
Surrounded by the souls I've thrown
Arriving just in time to see the earth destroyed, yeah
I said drag me there, or just take me home
Someday or never
But I just keep rolling, rolling
American minds destined to be great
I'm from around here so I should know, yeah, I said yeah
I said drag me home or just, take me home
Rolling, rolling
Surrounded by the stones I've thrown
Arriving just in time to see the earth destroyed, yeah
I said drag me there, or just, just take me home
And I'm rolling, rolling

"I said I'm waiting oh just say my darling" I've just listened to this song once but it seemed to me that Julian said something else. And...is it me or does the main guitar riff look like The Velvet Underground's "Run run run"'s one ?
i think this song is about how the strokes plan to not sound like your conventional rock group. ppl always say te strokes are copycats of other bands, but to me the only bands they sound A LITTLE BIT LIKE are the velvet underground and television
