Time Awaits Lyrics
Time waits for no man but you
Time waits for no man but you
Hold on don't leave this town
Hold on don't leave this town
There we are
We're that in our hands
They tear you down
Cause they don't understand
You tried it once again
To love me better
She tore those panties down
Love me wetter
Woo oh oh oh
And like ones and twos and threes and fours
Woo oh oh oh
And I hear you knocking at my door
So hold them down
With blood on your hands
It's past the point
Where you don't understand
The worst you do is lie
Run for shelter
So cast aside these chains
Love me better
Woo oh oh oh
And like ones and twos and threes and fours
Woo oh oh oh
And I hear you knocking at my door
Woo oh oh oh
And like ones and twos and threes and fours
Woo oh oh oh
And I hear you knocking at my door
I hear you knocking at my door darling twenty times or more
I hear you knocking at my door darling twenty times or more
I hear you knocking at my door darling twenty times or more
I hear you knocking at my door darling twenty times or more
Time waits for no man but you
Hold on don't leave this town
Hold on don't leave this town
We're that in our hands
They tear you down
Cause they don't understand
You tried it once again
To love me better
She tore those panties down
Love me wetter
And like ones and twos and threes and fours
Woo oh oh oh
And I hear you knocking at my door
With blood on your hands
It's past the point
Where you don't understand
The worst you do is lie
Run for shelter
So cast aside these chains
Love me better
And like ones and twos and threes and fours
Woo oh oh oh
And I hear you knocking at my door
Woo oh oh oh
And like ones and twos and threes and fours
Woo oh oh oh
And I hear you knocking at my door
I hear you knocking at my door darling twenty times or more
I hear you knocking at my door darling twenty times or more
I hear you knocking at my door darling twenty times or more

I didn't know young English kids could sing, much less write something like "she tore those panties down, love me wetter." I couldn't stop laughing when I first heard that because I didn't know English boys had it in them...
what the FUCK man
english boys are the best at writing stuff twat
I think this song is about holding on to what you love and your way of expression, even though people might think you're crazy, but they just don't understand your art. Your time will come, just hold on. For the Kooks it really did, and that changes people's opinions on you. I think there's some girl that he really liked before but she rejected him, ("cast away these chains, love me better" - he wanted her to look past her prejudices and just like him the way he is) And now she's knocking at his door (figuratively speaking), 'cause his time has come and he's gotten famous for that art she didn't understand, but he won't let her in this time.
i love this song! it starts off all redneck and your like 'omgzz what the tramp is this?' and then BOOM it goes into a reggie funk style and its amazing not sure what its about though
NOTHING WRONG WITH REDNECK!!!! lol. Now that's over, i do love the funk it gets into, I think it's probably about sex. Or murder. not sure... lol, i think it maybe about a girl that seems to have baggage, and he says cut the crap, put effort into it or ill just ignore you, and leave you knocking at the door. probably wrong though
pretty cool song, but you have the lyrics wrong its " life comes in twos and threes and fours" straight from the cd sleeve go the kooks.
unfortunately the weakest song of a so-so album. It's a pity that kooks does'nt stronger songs becouse i love their style.but it's way over substance.
also rock reggae it's a bit lame.
'And like ones and twos and threes and fours!!' is my fave line of this song, it's the only 'rocky' bit of the whole song, yet it's a really good song none the less.
awesome song, love the folkiness at the start. but i heard somewhere that it was about a hooker?
kooks at their filthiest
