The Battle Lyrics
Time's up, hold up, aight Celph you got 30 seconds, you ready? Alright, Celph Titled, hit em!
Celph Titled:
That's all you got? Yo, yeah, listen
These hungry rappers battle for a buck and some change
There really be kids starving, give a fuck if it change
Shock rap, not that, you get signed you might blow up
Release party in Iraq, you might blow up
I see you trying to think a few lines you might get at me with
Slap happy with babies who're born with crack in they cribs
Too much to cram under your oversized fitted
And the public system failed you
Either you're ignorant or...

First post!!! All right, what is this song doing on the album? Not that I don't like it, it doesn't fit in with the rest... Or is it the meaning that counts? The lyrics fit, the song doesn't. But no offense to those who like this song...
I find it cuts off in an odd place... somebody said the end of the verse was "either you ignorant or you isn't" then there were more verses that weren't included. I don't understand the significance of including this snippet on the album other than to have a little element of hip-hop ritual in there...I think the sound quality is poor on it, too.
Yeah, it cuts off at a strange place and has bad sound quality. I don't personally like this song, but it's only 32 seconds--so I just listen to it, haha.
It cuts off at a strange place becuase its just an interlude...they probs just recorded it at a show and decided to wack it on for the fun of it..
it's supposed to end "either you're ignorant or isn't" and there's a line before that part which is supposed to say "and the public school system ..."
celph titled, presumably freestyling. ;)
this track is about ... how people get so caught up in rap battles that they forget about other "battles" that are part of life. it's a sort of complex concept but it fits into 32 seconds. ;D
oh, and, no, it was not recorded live at a venue -- mike programmed the audience sounds in.
