I definitely think it's about scheming and plotting as well. This song was used in the movie Descent, with Rosario Dawson, right before a really pivotal scene in the film and it fits so perfectly because it foreshadows what's about to happen.

It's about people plotting. They're too nice to show it openly but with 'slow moves' they're getting closer to exacting some kind of scheme. It's two way as well. The guitar line, combined with the soft lyrics make this quite menacing and brooding. 'My moves are slow, but soon you'll know'. It makes us afraid because something is happening below the surface and soon it will be horribly apparent what has been planned. Think of 9/11 or something like that. We knew nothing until it happened and it reminds me of that. Sly plotting and gradually waiting and choosing the perfect moment to pounce.
Its about heartbreak. Someone you care for slipping away. You can see who to. The keep it hidden from you and no matter how much you protest you push them further away. They keep on whispering their mantra's "i'm in love". The forget the truth of what you used to mean. To suit their reality they must destroy yours. Destoy your past. The compromise between honesty and lies. There is no point fighting this sort of thing on the surface. Withdraw yourself. Slow moves. Soon they will know what you really feel.
"They'll keep on whispering their mantras We'll keep on whispering our mantras" it makes me think of two groups of people who have been fighting for so long that they cant remember why, and they have to keep reminding themsleves that they are enemies. it doesnt really take sides, i think its saying how both sides are doing the same thing and either there are no bad guys or all bad guys.
first thing that came to mind was that this song is about groups of people fighting. almost like teenage girl fights. they spend alot of time scheming and planning to bring down someone "Hiding intentions, revealing only fractions" being a fake friend to someone, sometimes revealing your true feelings,
the planning and scheming against each other is always being talked about but rarely ever eventuates.
