High Road Lyrics
Anyone who doesn't understand this song is stupid.
Paparazzi, magazine bulls't etc; all the usual stuff for famous people. Just go deal with it, don't get us involved.
Still, it's a cool song. Nice chorus
I LOVE this song. I totally agree. this song is sooo right. You shouldn't trust anyone like that and you shouldn't come down to there level either. Get above it!! take the highroad
Gotta love the puns he uses "I'm like a struggling doctor, no patients"
"You're like a high school dropout, no class"
This is a comment to the media who criticise and misrepresent celebrities and bands. It's a statement that he refuses to be brought down by whatever they do and say cos he's taking the high road.
kinda hypocritical to write n rap a whole song about taking the high road about peeps dissin ya, while u bustin on them... still nice tune n all... peace
Duh people, he is taking facts and laying them out. Simple as that. If you don't like is, kiss my ass.
Crank the bass up slightly and youve got an ultimate driving song here! Favourite song on the album - plus its meaning is pretty straightforward

lpuk5755 is part of the problem.
...but that's all I had to say.
"You bastards are gonna have to take back that shit" "You assholes are gonna see soon that I'm not playing"
"And start asking me the names that I'm not saying But I'm trying to be bigger than the bickering Bigger than the petty name calling Under-the-breath talking"
LOL... I'm not sure what Mike Shinoda defines as 'petty name calling'... but I know that he is definitely participating in it. The guy has talent at writing lyrics, but most of the time I find that he contradicts himself in them and he tends to just stray off his point a little bit in order to come up with a clever rhyme that may not make as much sense.
And there is nothing really creative about the two puns he uses with the 'struggling doctor' and 'high school dropout', they are both really old and overused.
I don't have a problem with Mike at all, I actually like this song, but the lyrics aren't THAT great. And I also don't like how he has to throw in random cursing just for the sake of it... that's just a sign of being immature.
edwards1015 is right. swearing for no particular reason is immature. you dont necessarily need bad words to emphasise smtg.some of the greatest songs ever written dont have a single swear word in em (ie panic! at the disco).but i still LOVE this song to bits. especially the beat of the chorus. very suave and impactful.all of fort minors beats in every song is damn good.they just have to work on their lyrics. damn great song tho.very nice and straight forward meaning.
