lol firedrillsguitar he probably told you that because you're fucking stupid. It's obviously about a relationship where they feel like they "try so hard" but it only goes so far. You can only do so much to keep a relationship together, sometimes what seems like it will last forever, never does. Feelings change over time and you promise eachother that you will be together forever, but you don't, it just feels that way at one point. He's saying basically the feelings gone, it's not like it used to be, time to move on. I don't see how it is about fans..lol.
I think this song is about how they connect to the fans each show, and that they hope that even after the show ends the fans will remember it forever. After they pour their hearts out song after song the show finally has to end and then they move on to do another one the next day with all different people and faces.
