med gufs og hyl jeg visner marken
ett uggent gys skiller ved og barken
ser tilbake på frost og tåke
natt som dag i evig våke
gold kulde river
mot lys jeg driver
men alle glør dør der
der hvor jeg hviler min bør
alltid alene
der finnes ingen som kan vandre med meg
evig vinter er hva jeg er
du er tedd når jeg er nær
sjelen søker evig varme
allt den får en ensom harme
markens grøde for all tid øde
der jeg setter mitt spor
min sorg et større enn ord
ett uggent gys skiller ved og barken
ser tilbake på frost og tåke
natt som dag i evig våke
gold kulde river
mot lys jeg driver
der hvor jeg hviler min bør
alltid alene
der finnes ingen som kan vandre med meg
du er tedd når jeg er nær
allt den får en ensom harme
markens grøde for all tid øde
der jeg setter mitt spor
min sorg et større enn ord

At first sight, seems some s got turned into s. Should most likely be "du er redd når jeg er nær" (tedd is not a word!), and "min sorg er større enn ord". That is, as it stands, it says, "my sorrow a greater than words" in stead of "my sorrow is greater than words". "allt" should be "alt"--this is Norwegian, not Swedish. ;)
Not that I know if this will help, does songmeanings even have a correction feature? :O
This song is about the big, cold creature in "Mummidalen". She freezes everything around her and is doomed to wander alone. It's a good song, and funny lyrics.
With shudders and howls I wither the fields
Great song by a great band. Would someone be willing to translate to English?
I don't think the lyrics are funny, I think they're very good. Is it funny because it's a character from Mummy? EVERYONE were afraid of Hufsa when they watched it when they were children.
Can anyone translate to English?
So far all i have is this incomplete version posted by DHG on ultimatemetal forum:
I move with shouts and screams Wherever I go I bring cold I "stay" eternally both day and night Cold sterile rivers Towards the light I'm going Every men close their door Alone forever Looking for someone to stay with I am the eternal winter You are scared when I'm close Looking for eternal warmth (missing lyrics) My torment is greater than words
With winds and screams I wither the earth a grotty shudder splits wood from bark look bak on frost and fog night as day in eternal vigil(?) barren cold tears towards light I drift
With winds and screams I wither the earth a grotty shudder splits wood from bark look bak on frost and fog night as day in eternal vigil(?) barren cold tears towards light I drift
but all embers die where where I rest my burden always alone there are no one who can wander with me

eternal winter is what I am you're scared when I'm close
eternal winter is what I am you're scared when I'm close
The soul seeks eternal warmth all it gets is lonely ire The fields harvest dead forever In my wake My grief is greater than words

Depends how you view the song. Her actual name is "The Groke". The Groke is said to be a live representation of loneliness and people who have a difficult time accepting and showing love the right way
