"Love and Memories" as written by Glen Ballard and Marc Andrew Roberge....
Lovely, you're always lovely
A vision, you were the one
Now I am stuck inside a memory
You forgot about our destiny
You buried me, didn't you?

Didn't you love me faster than the devil
Run me straight into the ground
Drownin' deep inside your water
Drownin' deep inside your sound

You're always floating
A vapor that I couldn't see
Here I am stuck inside a yesterday
Everything has given way
You fell from me, didn't you?

Didn't you love me faster than the devil
Run me straight into the ground
Drownin' deep inside your water
Drownin' deep inside your sound

Love me faster than the devil
Run me straight into the ground
Drownin' deep inside your water
Drown in love and memories

Maybe I am a crowded mind
I watch your eyes glaze over
Stare down at the floor
You were amazing to me
I was amazing to you
But here we go again

Didn't you love me faster than the devil
Run me straight into the ground
Drownin' deep inside your water
Drownin' deep inside your sound

Love me faster than the devil
Run me straight into the ground
Drownin' deep inside your water
Drownin' deep inside your sound

Love me faster than the devil
Run me straight into the ground
Drownin' deep inside your water
Drown in love and memories

General CommentI think I have a pretty good idea of what this song is really about. It's funny that you can listen to a song at one point in your life, and you may like it, but sometimes it stops there. After going through certain things, you hear the song again, and it takes on a whole new level and depth of meaning. You FEEL the song. It's almost like your hearing the song for the first time again. Maybe some of you can relate to this?

Our perception of the world and how we view life directly correlates with the life experiences we go through personally. I recently broke up with my girlfriend. Felt like I had found THE person I was destined to be with. Every single quality that I've ever looked for collectively throughout my lifetime in a significant other, I found in her. I had a vision of what a perfect girlfriend would be like, and she was the one. Than just like that, she was gone. I think that O.A.R's singer is talking about finding and being with the person you were destined to be with. Than the girl foolishly parts ways. You are left dwelling on yesterdays when the two of you were still entangled together in this deep love, not wanting to let go, so you are stuck. Metaphorically drowning in the love that you shared and all of the memories. I definitely feel this song. Has anybody else been there?
