I think it's about someone who wants something and in getting what they want it hurts someone they don't want to. So they're stuck between doing what is right and what is true to them, and doing what is best for other people. And at the end they just decide to leave cuz that way they can have no part in anything. And they're asking for forgiveness in every being a part to begin with.
In that, I can relate....
