Sweet Water Kill (The Ocean Song) Lyrics

Loose lips sink ships.
Salt sips rose hips.
All along, it was the ocean's song
That called me down to listen to her.
Standing drenched by a 40 ft. coral fence.
A swiftly dripping ripple.

Watching saltclouds billow. Brimming and brand-new.
Down below, I will follow what bubbles tell me to.
All along, it was the ocean's song
That called me down to listen to her.
Swirling still, in a SweetWater Kill.
A swiftly sifting riptide.

You know that old song. From far
Far away. Not too long. Drifting along.
Down in SweetWater.

Dead weight sink straight.
Why?
All along, it was the ocean's song
That called me down to listen to her.
Standing still in a SweetWater Kill.
Down in SweetWater.

You know that old song....

This is a beautiful piece. One of my favorite Rasputina songs. It makes me think of mermaids luring some beautiful sailor or pirate from a boat and down into the sea. I've read a lot of stories about mermaids being able to drag whole ships to the ocean floor with their songs.

I agree. This is such a beautiful track... it reminds me of a siren song, so beautiful and deadly. It seems like paradise, and all of the men are just incapacitated by beauty and magic.... but there's always repercussions to having everything you've ever wanted. It's like a giant reference to the dangers of excess-

And I don't even know what I just typed. :P
