To The Fallen Hero Lyrics
Everyday I live, I remember the sacrifice
Everyday I live, I ensure it’s not in vain
For those who gave their all
You shall live again through me
My solemn vow you are now forever
This may be the last we see our hero
This is an oath to the fallen heroes
This is an ode to the ones we lost
This was then and now
The last days before the return
The memory will not be silenced or erased
In the glory of your worth
This is an oath to the fallen heroes
This is an ode to the ones we lost
This is an oath to the fallen heroes
This is an ode to the ones we lost
I…I’m dying again
This was then and now the last days before the return
The memory will not be silenced or erased
May your deed bring peace?
A new resolution of change
This is an oath to the fallen heroes
This is an ode to the ones we lost
I…I’m dying again
This is an oath to the fallen heroes
This is an ode to the ones we lost
I…I’m dying again
Everyday I live, I ensure it’s not in vain
For those who gave their all
You shall live again through me
My solemn vow you are now forever
This is an ode to the ones we lost
The last days before the return
The memory will not be silenced or erased

Obviously a tribute to the US soldiers who have died (presumably in the Iraq conflict).
While I agree with God Forbid's opinions, with regard to the pointlessness of the war and Bush's domestic and foreign policies, I am glad they didn't really mention them in this song, because I think it becomes more poinient (sp?) when the empthasis is left on the lives lost, and not the reasons for it.
@quiffporn agree I think we all have our opinions on the point of war, but on all sides there generally is respect for the soldiers

I agree, this song is well put together. I am also glad they didn't put too much politics into this song and ruin the purpose of it. good choice, good song.
This is part the story in IV:constitution of treason, which gives it a double meaning. This also does not necessarily mean the troops that do die physically, but those who have committed suicide and other things because of the post dramatic stress that this war induces.
@drunken_buzby some never leave the war mentally ... good observation.

Dimebag tribute as well, for you guys who didn't know. R.I.P Dimebag. Good song, and a nice concept for it, even though overall I can't say I'm a fan of the band.
