Sacred Lie Lyrics
My conviction is stronger today
As I fight to uncover your sacred lie
And the fear isn't going away
As the soldiers still die
Let your followers know that their lives have been sold
For the good of your sacred lie
For the truth to be told
And the fight to unfold
We must start asking why
Don't you know the war is far from over now?
What a stumbling block we've fallen over now
As our brothers die defending no one
The war is far from over now
Liberation, a moral charade
For the cause is a part of your sacred life
Damnation a moment away in all the world's eyes
It's the doom of us all
We give in to control for the sake of your sacred lie
Complications abound
You'll get used to the sound of alarms in your life
Don't you know the war is far from over now?
What a stumbling block we've fallen over now
As our brothers die defending no one
The war is far from over now
Give us a moment of peace in our lifetime
A moment of peace in our lifetime
Give us a moment of peace in our lifetime
A moment of peace in our lifetime
Give us a moment of peace in our lifetime
A moment of peace in our lifetime
Give us a moment of peace in our lifetime
A moment of peace, right, NOW
Don't you know the war is far from over now?
What a stumbling block we've fallen over now
As our brothers die defending no one
The war is far from over now

It's annoying how many people say it's Sacred Life. That's what happens when you download songs instead of support the artist, you get the wrong song name ;p. Also Sacred life doesn't make much sense in the lyrics.
As for the meaning, I agree with penguin, it's about the war and how it's all a lie.
"As our brothers die defending no one" This line particularly expresses that.
Hmmm...The song title is actually "Sacred Lie"
As I fight to UNCOVER you scared lie... And the PLAN to unfold
This is basically an extension of the views in "Deify," but it protests the prolonged occupation of Iraq, even after Hussein has been caught, and how ridiculous it all seems. Soldiers are still dying, even when the original mission when invading Iraq has been accomplished. This mission, by that way, was all one big lie about the need for liberty and justice in Iraq and to find WMD's and take power from dictators and institute democracy...all a lie, really, just to invade SOMEONE. And now, the war, technically, is over, but for Bush and the families of dead soldiers, it has barely begun.
you dumb *** liberal piece of garbage the war is not a lie and people untill the end of times will be dieing to preserve the freedoms of the powerless....so you better get used to it pinhead

This song is about the iraqi war. states that Bush should tell his troops whats really going on and that he's sacrificing them for oil. i mean seriously, there was no real hard evidence.
an excellent song by the way ;)
i downloaded the right name of the song ha!
Basically he is saying that Bush has started something he can't finish by invading Iraq, how the soldiers will never be brought home ("Don't you know the war is far from over now")
ok fuzzy man i disagree with u , ya maybe we weere given horse shit reasons to invade iraq but im sure theres a bigger purpose than just invadeing someone but i cold be wrong as hell but it seems more logical that it would be a stageing area for middleeastern confilcts such as iran
