I think it is supposed to be like that.. from hearing it a few times. Not 100 percent sure though because the lyrics I see all over the net don't even make sense.
The most obvious meaning to this song would be that it's about death. If you have seen the video, it supports that.
The very first line is the only one I'm unsure about- what it sounds like he's saying doesn't make sense. But here's the rest of it:

According to Paul Van Dyk's Wikipedia page, this song was written in response to the tsunami in southeastern Asia a few years back. The song is about the death of a loved one and still feeling a connection to them after they're gone.
