The Seething Rain Weeps For You Lyrics
Saying goodbye now
Looking at friends
A lump comes in my throat
Hearing them all speak of you
It rains
We have no umbrella brought
With which the wind be fought
The seething rain weeps for you
Speaking of better days
There are so many things I want to say
Should I re-live my life
I’d run into you much sooner
Time has, it would seem
Quickened its pace
Leaving upon your face
A curly smile meant just for me
Speaking of better days
I try to remember everything
But as the years go by
The dark moments lift
Like rain clouds do
With destruction hands
And low lit snow becoming
Winter body aches
Speaking of better days
I try to remember everything
But as the years go by
The dark moments lift
Like rain clouds do
From my window I watch the day go by
Looking at friends
A lump comes in my throat
Hearing them all speak of you
We have no umbrella brought
With which the wind be fought
The seething rain weeps for you
There are so many things I want to say
Should I re-live my life
I’d run into you much sooner
Quickened its pace
Leaving upon your face
A curly smile meant just for me
I try to remember everything
But as the years go by
The dark moments lift
Like rain clouds do
And low lit snow becoming
Winter body aches
I try to remember everything
But as the years go by
The dark moments lift
Like rain clouds do

Beautiful.
I think this song is just about not getting to know a person as much as you want to because they leave you too soon or you leave too soon and you're very much still in love with them and spend your days reminiscing about it and wishing it you were still together.
The first time I heard the song, I cried. It is, honestly, too beautiful for words.
I think that anyone who has had someone they've been close to die know this song, they are this song, they live this song.
The first time I heard it, I cried too. Especially the "There are so many thing's I want to say" bit. It's very true what you said, living this song. It's horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

This is despite what you hear on the radio, the best song off of the album. All the other lyrics are strange, good but strange. These ones are simply amazing, and the music complimetns it perfectly. It may not have the hooks of Zookeepers Boy but it exceeds the craftmanship of all the rest. Whole album is fantastic but this gem realyl shines.
ESTA CANCION ES PERFECTA NO HAY CANCION MAS PERFECTA QUE ESTA... ES LA CANCION QUE REFLEJA MAS FIELMENTE LA NOSTALGIA Y LA MELANCOLIA DE UNA PERSONA NO ACABARIA NUNCA DE DECIR LO MUCHO QUE ME GUSTA ESTA CANCION
This song is obviously about someone who is dead. Because if it was a break-up, no friends would speak about the girl, also, it is written in the style of a speech for a funeral.
The sadness is all over. The lump in his throat, and even the rain weeps for the loss.
Can't understand phrase no. 3 and 4 except for the obvious parts, but then he just tells that the sadness and dark days are like dark clouds which will rain down (as seething rain that weeps), and then they will disappear.
"From my window I watch the day go by" - He waits for the dark clouds to disappear.
