hes musical talants have definately jumped up a step. i think this is about when he was depressed or something like that and is reflecting on 'better days'
ew. all his new songs are crap, and this one sounds like hes gone 'hmm ive got nothing to write about so ill just write about a bad day and pretend to be depressed'
he needed to take a year off and be normal again to get some inspiration for songs about REAL stuff.

If you think pete was pulling these lyrics out of his arse you've clearly never been through this... When you know full well something really heart wrenching is about to happen and you just want to run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. Every fibre of your being says 'RUN!!!!!' But for whatever reason, you have to hold your ground. That really sucks, believe me.
nevermind what this song is about - i dont really care if some people think its emo 'ill go slit my wrists now' but think about how great the strings sound backing his voice-not many artists can put that together.
I'm a huge Pete Murray fan and it's weird that this song was released at the exact time I broke up with my bf of 2 years.. It basically describes everything I was going through.. I'm sure many can relate to it
