No Fear Lyrics
Girl,
You lived your life like a sleeping swan
Your time has come
To go deeper
Girl,
Your final journey has just begun
But destiny chose the reaper
No Fear
Destination Darkness
No Fear
Destination Darkness
No Fear
Girl
Rain falls down from the northern skies
Like poisoned knives
With no mercy
Girl
Close your eyes for the one last time
Sleepless nights
From here to eternity
No Fear
Destination Darkness
No Fear
Destination Darkness
No Fear
(Destination Darkness)
(Destination Darkness)
Ooooh
No Fear
Destination Darkness
No Fear
Destination Darkness
Ooooh
No Fear
Destination Darkness
No Fear

You lived your life like a sleeping swan
Your time has come
To go deeper
Your final journey has just begun
But destiny chose the reaper
Destination Darkness

Rain falls down from the northern skies
Like poisoned knives
With no mercy
Close your eyes for the one last time

The song is bout a girl who's done nothing of her life. Maybe she hasn't foun her quest, maybe it's after death or death itself. When she has.nt done anything in her life before making shure where it will take her, this time she needs to plunge into the darkness.
I must say, this is one of the songs of the band that I really liked. I strangely agree with crow heart and dierdra. This song is simple with few words but really has a deep meaning.
Do you not see that this song is the ANSWER to IN THE SHADOWS?
In The Shadows speaks of waiting and preparing for life (I've been watching, I've been waiting / In the shadows for my time), on the premise that you have to somehow be complete and ready before you can start living ("They say that I must learn to kill before I can feel safe").
However, no one can be "ready for life". And this song is about that. You are never "ready". You can never "learn enough to feel safe". Instead you just have to plunge right in having safeness as a starting point ("no fear") even if you do not feel clear about what you are doing and where you are going ("destination darkness).
Some people have interpreted this song to be about death. And although I think it is mostly about life, it is also about death, because its meaning is to "live dangerously or die trying".
This song has few words because it is the "last verse" of IN THE SHADOWS. If it was a heap of words it would appear as a story of its own and not work so well.
IMO, this is one of the best songs from The Rasmus.
can't believe no one has commented on this song...you might think i am crazy...but i think that it is one of their best songs so far
i think this is one of the worst songs so far.
sorry, but rasmus have gone into a decline to commerce, imho. they have been at their best at the time of the glorious album into and while publishing the as-great dead letters, but in the course of the latter one they began to realize how much money was there to be made with aping all the other finnish bands that were mushrooming all over at that time, and still are, like him and negative (who came later, i know). i wonder if in finland they think this is the only way for them to become successful here, but nevertheless they act like it. rasmus are definetely no gothic band nor anything like that except a great rock band, but their songs pretend to be something else. to me it's a shame they waste their talent on such a show. i can't take lauri ylönen serious anymore with songs like this incredible "life burns", nor the whole band with songs like this. this is "you change your passion for glory" to me. and i'm disappointed to see what becomes of one of my favourite bands.
I have to agree with RealSugar.
But I don't blame the band for going down this road, I think they see it as their way of maturing. They will write what they think the fans will want to listen to, and after the success of Dead Letters, they must think that that style is what we want. To be honest, I discovered The Rasmus through Dead Letters and I was shocked by the contrast with their previous material and I instantly loved it all.
I saw Dead Letters as the natural next step in the band's evolution. Hide From the Sun is one step too far - Too dark. I say this, but I still love Hide From the Sun and some of the best lyrics can be found on this album, but I wish they didn't go so over-the-top with the phase of wearing nothing but black.
This is my least favourite song so far. Others like Dead Promises and Lucifer's Angel are amazing, but I think the lyrics to No Fear are so bare and bleak that they are not worth discussing.
okay, so the lyrics are not much... and i mean that literally, cause there's like ten lines in the song... but it's still an addicting tune and I just keep playing it over and over and over... well, in my head that is. I like this song probably just for the music behind the bland lyrics.
i dont think this is one of their best songs but the ending is just surreal. it makes me feel at peace. this is just my opinion so dont attack me for it.
don't worry, we won't attack you, we are all nice guys ;)
addictive, yes. lyrically stimulating, no. good radio single. should have been more substantial, more weight behind the song
