Headlights Lyrics
Headlights burn and then fade out.
Unlike the long distant way out
You think that your perfect for this
That you can survive when it suddenly hits
And all that I have to resist,
The blood in my body, the bones in my wrist
Tell me something to save me
All day it felt like you break me
'Cos some of the people you're with,
Would stare at you static to take what you give
And all that I have to resist,
The blood in my body, the bones in my wrist
It's not like I asked for this
You think that your perfect for this
That you can survive when it suddenly hits
And all that I have to resist,
The blood in my body, the bones in my wrist
It's not like I asked for this
Unlike the long distant way out
That you can survive when it suddenly hits
And all that I have to resist,
The blood in my body, the bones in my wrist
All day it felt like you break me
Would stare at you static to take what you give
And all that I have to resist,
The blood in my body, the bones in my wrist
It's not like I asked for this
That you can survive when it suddenly hits
And all that I have to resist,
The blood in my body, the bones in my wrist
It's not like I asked for this

Before they played this song at the Junction, Sam said this song was about cars...
He's usually quite sarcastic before introducing songs. He also said it's about 'driving around Northern England, with a barel of hay in one hand, and a microphone in the other'.
I think it's about someone going through a bad experience such as depression or illness or something and the other person doesn't empathise and understand how it is and thinks they would be able to handle it much better.
