I Think It Is Beautiful That You Are 256 Colors Too Lyrics

There are rainbows and earthworms and microscopic humming birds

I don't wanna live through winter
I can't stand to see everything ending
I'll just stand on the meadow
I'll be taken by sunbeams
So goodbye

This is a really personal feeling song. It makes me feel sad. I feel more connected to him and feel it more since his voice isnt being obscured by a vocoder.

I'm referring to the Falling Through A Field (Reissue) version, by the way.

I think this a beautiful yet sad song. summer is gone, and everything is done. ofcourse, it stands for something else, some happy, bright time is past and what they have now is dark and cold and not what they want or are used to, or the end of something good.

but they leave in an awesome way, they'll be taken by sunbeams to a higher place, a happier place. no more suffering, its all going to be allright.

one of my favorite BMSR songs. -D4N-

Easily analyzed. They don't want to see autumn [There are rainbows and earthworms and microscopic humming birds] end. Winter ends autumn. BMSR is really warm, reminds me of autumn.

Personally I interpret this song as a sad one about how the narrator doesn't want to have to go through a bad part of their life (and that the bad parts of the life seem almost cyclic) and so they are choosing an extreme form of escapism, possibly in the form of hallucinogenic drugs, because from personal experience whilst doing mushrooms in my earlier life sometimes the trip would feel like the sun just wrapping around me.

He was definitely talking about the coming disasters. When everything is ending, he won't want to live through the winter. It may come in his lifetime, it may even come next year. According to prophecy, there will be great solar flares and other natural disasters of epic proportions which will decimate everything on earth. The last line two lines is what gives it away. Goodbye.
