I dont care what other people say, i really liked abandon your friends... Fran Mark's voice is amazing
With the first verse, I think he is talking about being a musician and an artist in these day and times.
The second and third verse Im not too sure how to interpret that into my assumption of what this song means.
And the final verse compliments the first verse. He cant decide if what hes writing is something amazing, and unique and special to him or just what everyone wants to hear. And the only reason he does what he does is because he enjoys it.
Compare these lyrics to ANYTHING from Too Bad You're Beautiful. Such a huge difference. And not in a good way, either. :/
I agree with ahopelessromantic in all area's i think the song is also about the hardship between bandmates or if its worth moving on.

personally i think this song has to do with the other singer who was eventually kicked out and how he didnt want to contribute to the album until it was time to tour and such.
