Sugar Wolf Lyrics
Less of a singer, you are more
More of a prostitute
With aspirations for a life of sex and drug abuse
When did the music turn into a beauty pageant
Lately my sense of pride has been chronically absent domesticate
So much for combat
My worst habits are mounting a comback
Dollars and pence, cubic or metric
You can sit down but the chairs are electric
Lay in the street, embrace the gutter
It's easier than working towards something
Better pull on my boots, run through the back door
Should have been more careful what I wished for
Less of an artist, you are more
More of a xerox machine
You sit tracing the pages of juxtapoz magazine
When did the music turn into a beauty pageant
I've become a participant in something I once stood against
I should have never given birth to this monster
From all this same I'd like to hide my head in the ground
More of a prostitute
With aspirations for a life of sex and drug abuse
When did the music turn into a beauty pageant
Lately my sense of pride has been chronically absent domesticate
So much for combat
My worst habits are mounting a comback
Dollars and pence, cubic or metric
You can sit down but the chairs are electric
Lay in the street, embrace the gutter
It's easier than working towards something
Better pull on my boots, run through the back door
Should have been more careful what I wished for
Less of an artist, you are more
More of a xerox machine
You sit tracing the pages of juxtapoz magazine
When did the music turn into a beauty pageant
I've become a participant in something I once stood against
I should have never given birth to this monster
From all this same I'd like to hide my head in the ground

this is my new al time favorite from this band.
i beleive this sng is about how the music stuff is going.
When did the music turn into a beauty pageant = the hotter the musician/artist.. the more popular the are. like people are trying to look good and shit and they arnt focusing on music
This song is about the girl featured on the previous two FATA CDs. She eventually had a fallout with the band, used the bands popularity to promote her career, and forced her boyfriend to quit the band.
oi oi this album is fucking awesome also, is that the girl that sung Autumn's Monologue? is that the one, or was there another? what songs is she on?
butiadoreher, the girl who sings Autumn's Monologue is Melanie Wills from the band One True Thing
im not sure who the girl from that album cover is though, i cant think of what her name is
holy shit only 4 comments...i love this song. my fave is the chorus, even tho it doesnt make much sense...that line 'you can sit down but the chairs are electric...pretty much just awesome.
this is a quality song - i like the chorus - best line is "you can sit down but the chairs are electric" I also like "I should have never given birth to this monster From all this same I'd like to hide my head in the ground "
godly.
What i got from this song is that because the drummer (now singer) had to write the lyrics in about one day becasue the old singer left just befor they started to record this is his way of telling him off. It shows the emotions the drummer had at the time and that he was not happy with the singer. look at the lines it says "less of a singer you are more..."
i think this is the best song by fata but i dont get when he says "less of an artist, you are more of a xerox machine"
Um, the xerox machine means the "artist" can't produce anything original of his or her own.
I just thought this was about pretentious artists in general, those in it just for money with no real talent. But people are saying it's about Ben, or Melanie? o_o
