Abandon Your Friends Lyrics
Young women, and young men.
Forgive us if you can.
Abandon your best friends.
Demanding detriment.
Leaving your lover home waiting.
Putting much faith in her patience.
Don't fool yourself, it's not endless.
Phone calls are poor consolation.
We've abandoned our best friends.
Leaving your lover home waiting.
Putting much faith in her patience.
Don't fool yourself, it's not endless.
Phone calls are poor consolation.
We've abandoned our best friends.
Forgive us if you can.
Abandon your best friends.
Demanding detriment.
Putting much faith in her patience.
Don't fool yourself, it's not endless.
Phone calls are poor consolation.
Putting much faith in her patience.
Don't fool yourself, it's not endless.
Phone calls are poor consolation.

"Leaving your lover home waiting. Putting much faith in her patience. Don't fool yourself, it's not endless. Phone calls are poor consolation."
beautiful.
one of the only good songs on this new album. very deep and meaningful...to me, at least.
It's about them always being on tour feeling as though they've abandoned everyone they love.
I think its about the ex-FATA member who left with that chick singer, an Ode to him basically
ok is it just me or does the whole album have the feel of "hey were sorry, but its time for us to call it quits"?
its hard to hear this kinda. reminds me of a 4 year friendship that just ended. i got this feeling like i dont care, its weird. sad. friends should be able to trust eachother. friends dont stab u. friends dont try and steal someone u care for. goodbye.
ricoetc I seriously love you. I totally got the same thing from this song. The ex-FATA member was that chick's boyfriend and she's a total bitch. I'm pretty sure Sugar Wolf is about her.
It's about the band being away on tour so much they miss their family and friends, and feel like they've abandoned them. Pretty fucking sad song to say the least, but well good.
This song is about, like has been said, them being on tour and feeling like they've abandoned everyone. And they were calling it quits but after taking a break for a while, they have started writing new music. It was sorta like a hiatus for awhile after this record, but they are back.
My interpretation is that its about the band knowing they were doing something with this new album that a lot of fans wouldn't like, i.e. "abandoning" them. That's probably not what its about, but thats what i think.
