It's pretty obvious what this song is about, but egads, this gets to me.
"I will work to make it work and I promise not to quit" I can relate to that desire to work incredibly and endlessly to create or save something that you have been waiting for for your entire life; the desire to toil ceaselessly to make up for the lack of effort on the second party's side. It's slaughter.
