What a Great Song! Could it be about the broken hearted who feel like they have been forgotten, who have so much love to give? The song hints as if there is someone out there waiting for you to come along. The smooth melody of the guitar is as if time is passing by in a painstaking way, and we just want to be noticed as if our hearts are on display for the right one to see. YES! Are you kidding me? I love to think about it can be a man or a woman that is waiting.
I find the challenge in this song also could be to be a friend or the difference in a strangers life in a way that you are meant to be..such a great song to slow down to and appreciate another!
Just a bit of different angle to @LitOR 's comment. Could it be that the boy is in love with someone (a female friend) but she doesn't look at him that way. She continues to date guys who aren't right for her (or they continue to break up), and all the while this guy (her friend) is there to help her put her life back together.
Secretly yearning that one day she realises that he is the one for her.
