i think this song is about conforming. about how people waist their time doing things they don't enjoy or believe in. it becomes such habit that they don't even realize what they are doing anymore.

This song is about this generation of people who are addicted to material possessions and rely upon these possessions to satisfy all the needs of life. Nobody can simply live and love, we must want and waste.

"While buying the next new fashion that's fed to enslave this land of the free" directly correlates to this idea that we must obtain items to be happy and satisfied.

modern society views and technology are ruling the world, taking over everyones mind and making them hypnotized into following "the next new fashion".everything is just a trend and everyone just follows everyone else,one big thing after another.hard to escape propaganda

Nice job IndelibleEntity. That's exactly right. But this song is so true. Our world today is overly materialistic. A socity that once was has been overcome.

Jesse said that it was basically about their time in L.A. while recording this CD. They were so disgusted by the material excess that was all around them. He mentions on their site that people were driving cars that were worth more than some of the houses back where they used to live. These guys have a lot to say, and watch and see, I bet it gets them somewhere. Can't wait until their next CD, hopefully there will be one and it will kick ass. Wait, I know it will.

"Sky cities scrape the lining of heaven" this line says it all; we are taking our obsessions more important that anything else, refered to as "heaven".

that the world and everything else, as much as we think we are free we arent: "Lives are connected to lasting obsessions that become possessions of waste While buying the next new fashion that's fed to enslave this land of the free" this means we buy everything that we get bored of it and get the lust for more stuff until eventually we are working to purely outbuy competitors, we are working to replace the old stuff that we have gotten bored off and we dont realise that we are wasting everyday trying to get money to buy new things "Days pass Time flies You don't realize Today you waste" when you could be working to create a better world
