Echo of my Scream Lyrics

This lonely isolation
Follows me through my dreams
I wander around with doubt
So cold and incomplete

There is nothing
here for comfort
The spark of hope I see
I breathe deep and fill my lungs
to silently release

An echo
- An echo
An echo

This is more than a dream to me
I breathe deep and drown my lungs
and release silently

I gasp for breath to only hear
What's inside me

An echo
- An echo
An echo
- An echo
An echo
- An echo
An echo
- An echo

More than a dream to me
- than a dream
More than a dream to me
- More than a dream
More than a dream to me
- More than a dream

An echo of
- An echo of
my scream

I gasp for breath to only hear
I gasp for breath to only hear
I gasp for breath to only hear
I gasp for breath to only hear

I gasp for breath

An echo
- An echo
An echo
- An echo
An echo
- An echo
An echo
- An echo

More than a dream to me
- More than a dream
More than a dream to me
- More than a dream
More than a dream to me
- More than a dream

An echo of
- an echo of
my scream
An echo of my scream
- An echo of my scream
An echo of my scream
- An echo of my scream
An echo of my scream
- An echo of my scream

More than a dream
- More than a dream
to me

This song is amazing..

Burton takes it to a new level. I disagree that its got a suicide perspective.. it's more that he has come to realize that he is alone.. a little light of hope.. only time will tell how the rest goes..

God bless Fear Factory!!!

Easily my favourite song off their new album... One of my favourites from them overall, actually.

Not too sure on the lyrics meanings - it's almost as if it's taken from the suicide perspective...

When its refering to an echo of a scream. I believe its talking about his soul screaming, echoing out through his mouth, due to the loneliness of his soul. Could it be that he dreams of happyness, only to disappear as he wakes up and screams.

I would have 2 say its a bit of both

there is both a suicidal perspective view on it AND a view of a screaming soul,

it could possibly be - that his soul is lonely, life has got him down, he doesnt want to go on so he is screaming inside of himself. he wants it all to end, but however he is too scared to do it himself, hence why he is screaming inside of himself as he does not clearly no wot he wants.

but then again - every1 will hear it differently as the mind hears what it wants 2

thats why this hits close to home for me
