Where you gonna run to now
That you ain’t got space to fill
What you gonna do with your time now
You ain’t got time to kill
Where you locked in coverage falling in time
And it’s hot enough just to let your song go by
I’m gonna give it to you
If you let me give it to you
Hey hey
So let me turn the volume up get a little bit of Hi-Fi
Drown out all the sirens in the back of my mind
Bah bah bah ba
Now you gonna settle your ties
With you aint got bind to tie up
Why burn your bridges?
When you can blow your bridges up
Where you locked in coverage falling in time
And it’s hot enough just to let your ideas go by
I’m gonna give it to you
If you let me give it to you
Hey hey
So let me turn the volume up get a little bit of Hi-Fi
Drown out all the sirens in the back of my mind
Let me turn the volume up get a little bit of Hi-Fi
Drown out all the sirens in the back of my mind
Now they’re calling all cars from the north to the Southside
Better get the east and its coming from the Westside
They’re calling all cars from the north to the Southside
Better get the east and its coming from the Westside
That you ain’t got space to fill
What you gonna do with your time now
You ain’t got time to kill
And it’s hot enough just to let your song go by
I’m gonna give it to you
If you let me give it to you
Drown out all the sirens in the back of my mind
With you aint got bind to tie up
Why burn your bridges?
When you can blow your bridges up
And it’s hot enough just to let your ideas go by
I’m gonna give it to you
If you let me give it to you
Drown out all the sirens in the back of my mind
Drown out all the sirens in the back of my mind
Better get the east and its coming from the Westside
They’re calling all cars from the north to the Southside
Better get the east and its coming from the Westside

I can't believe no one has commented on this. One of my favorite songs by m. Ward. I love the line: "Why burn your bridges? when you can blow your bridges up" I think it's all about letting go and not caring and letting music take over.
This is also one of my favorite M Ward songs. I think it's the rolling cadence of the two main chords that hooks me. It's also the way he delivers the lines in that carefree signature M Ward style. It always makes me want to turn the volume up.
this song is special for me! is m ward at first time and his unique style.
I adore this song. M. Ward has some of the best lyrics I've ever heard. Conor Oberst will always have my heart, But M. Ward excites me a lot. a lot a lot a lot.
Just a lyrical correction: *wear (or we're) your locked in coverage for a limited time
Also, I think it's "panic at the east," but I could be wrong.
I hear "And it's hard enough just to let..." instead of "hot", but I could be wrong.

I think I hear, "And it's hard enough just to let...", not "hot enough".
Its interesting how M Ward and Bright Eyes seem to go hand in hand... at any rate this song is totally buzzing. its all about smiling and lauging and gathering and appreciating. its the ultimate song for idealists
