War Pigs Lyrics
Witches gather at black masses
Bodies burning in red ashes
On the hill the church in ruin
Is the scene of even doin'
Is the place for all bad sinners
Watch them eating dead rat cinder
I guess it's the same
Where ever you may go
Oh, Lord, yeah
Carrying banners which denounce the Lord
See me rocking in my grave
See devil anoint my head with their black blood
See them stick the stake through me
Don't hold me back 'cause I just gotta go
Satan's got a hold on my soul now
Look in my brain and there was blood and seed
Look in my eyes and there I go, yeah
On the scene a priest appears
Sinners falling at his knees
Satan sends out funeral pyres
Casts the priest into the fire
It's the place for all bad sinners
Watch them eating dead rat cinder
I guess it's the same
Where ever you may go
Oh, Lord, yeah
Bodies burning in red ashes
On the hill the church in ruin
Is the scene of even doin'
Watch them eating dead rat cinder
I guess it's the same
Where ever you may go
Oh, Lord, yeah
See me rocking in my grave
See devil anoint my head with their black blood
See them stick the stake through me
Satan's got a hold on my soul now
Look in my brain and there was blood and seed
Look in my eyes and there I go, yeah
Sinners falling at his knees
Satan sends out funeral pyres
Casts the priest into the fire
Watch them eating dead rat cinder
I guess it's the same
Where ever you may go
Oh, Lord, yeah

This is an early version of the song, when it was actually called "Walpurgis." The version on Paranoid is more focused on being an antiwar song; this version is more of a horror song like Black Sabbath
this song isn't by ozzy, its by black sabbath
Ozzy was apart of Black Sabbath, after Sabbath Ozzy sang it, so its both of their songs, although they are almost the same thing.
more or less ya they are the same, i just like sabbath's version alittle better
The songs are different, as seen by the completely different lyrics between the Ozzy version and the Black Sabbath one. Sabboth's version was about how politicians and generals who start wars "just for fun" will all go to hell for their deeds. I guess this one might have a similar meaning, but the change in lyrics might mean that it has a somewhat different meaning as well.
This song rules. I thank guitar hero for putting it on their game cause I never would of liked it if it haddent been.
I cannot believe more people havnt commented on this stuff....anyway
I have liked this song for a long time.
I think it was orriginaly ment to be scary, but they eventually had to change it arround because people, back when it was made didnt like the lyrics for it and they ended up having to change them by making them more.... respectable if you will.
It ended up becomming a war protest song.
This song is awesome, but i can't get a clear meaning out of it.
This is actually the original version of the song, this recording is not just Ozzy it is Black Sabbath. It was recorded in 1970 while working on the second album (Paranoid) originally going to be titled War Pigs but because of the war in Vietnam the producers felt that they should chnge the albubs' name and the lyrics to War Pigs.
This was first released along with the version of Black Sabbath (song) that contained all 4 verses on The Ozzman Cometh.
