i really dig the sorta-thrashy guitar during the "a stranger's face is seen" section.
I think this song is about copulation. The guiding "voice from behind the stage" is the instinctual drive to mate. The spermatozoa are the "invisible people doing the wave" and "tunnel[ing] underground", racing towards the ovum.
