I could be completely wrong here, but I was almost sure that it was "I've only had the best of being sane".
"I've only had the best of me insane" just doesn't make any grammatical sense. Could someone please clarify this for me?

sounds like somebody at a Psyciatrist (spelling is bad :p) and the therapist just cant help him and sees a deeper side of insanity you just KNOW you want to show when talking to one ;)
sounds like someone fighting a battle between reliegion and what they believe is right and its eating at them to the point they just lose it completly
this is one of my favorite songs. i think its a song about religon and what they think is right, and they dont know which one to do, and go insane from the stress
I'll clarify before people start swarming this page with questions: This song was first included on Disturbed's "M.O.L." DVD back in 2002, thought it wasn't officially released. Now it has been reworked with a few new lyrics and will be included on their upcoming album, "Indestructible."
