in my opinion, i think this song is about saving someone and telling them about Christ. we are wasting our time and letting it slip without telling others about Him. "how could i have been so polite, to simply let her die?" is saying that she didnt want to pressure someone into accepting Christ so she just let it go, but that causes the person to be seperated from eternal life. "the darkness thats killing her, well that is just not my concern." is saying that she didnt want to bother with telling others about Christ and she was more concerned with herself. "Who am I to spread my fingers after God has filled my hands?" we are given oppurtunities to save others but we are letting them go.

I know this song is 10 years old at this point (wow) but I want to write on here anyway. I just found a demo version of this song the other day. I actually love it because I can see how far they've come and how much they've grown as musicians. I love the rawness of it, and to the person who said "the singing doesn't match the music", I agree, but I actually don't mind that at all. It adds something interesting.

This song is clearly about being caught in a conflict between doing what she feels God wants her to do versus minding her own business and just going about her life keeping to herself. She recognizes that if she shares the message of Christianity with people and completes the Mission, she may offend people and come off overbearing. Being all preachy will not be good for her social relationships. But then she also is afraid that if she doesn't do it, she will be responsible for people dying never having heard or been exposed to the message of Christianity, and in the end, she that would be disgracing God too, since He went the extra mile for her (even after He went and "filled her hands").

awesome song, flyleaf is doing good, they'll soon get noticed, the girls voice is awesome as well

I love that the album starts off with this song, more specifically because of the first lines: "I will break into your thoughts with what's written on my heart." Perfect. It's like she's saying, "I'll shatter your mind, what you think you know, with my truth, my words, my life or my lies." Whatever is in her heart, engraved into the very deep of her, she's going to either sing it beautifully or scream it out loud until they know at as well as she does.

"If you want more of this We can push out, sell out, die out" If you want it, I'll give it to you to the point that I'm pushing, I'm selling myself unto the death of me.

"So you'll shut up And stay sleeping With my screaming in your itching ears" Ha ha, so you'll keep your mouth closed, just stay in la la land and I'll be yelling and screaming in your ears, but it's not getting through to you as more than a buzz causing your ears to itch.

"Hear it I'm screaming it You're heeding to it now Hear it! I'm screaming it! You tremble at this sound" Listen to me because I'm screaming it at you, for you, to you, and now you're finally paying attention to what I've been telling you and now you're scared and you're sorry, but it's too late.

"You sink into my clothes And this invasion Makes me feel Worthless, hopeless, sick" You are a parasite, sinking into my clothes, passing my first layer of protection. You're trespassing and you're making me feel like shit, you're actions are causing me misery.

I like this song... not so much the singing... the singing clashes with the music and all but... the song is good... people dont want to offend others because what if? What if that person is of a different religion or what if that person takes offense? In the bible it actually says that if we are told(by God) to share Him with another person, if we dont, their blood is on our head, their sin.(owch)
