We Don't Care Anymore

Ok guys,

1) I did my best on this one, ill touch it up when i have the cd booklet in my hands on october 11, or if you have any changes lemme know

2) i wanted to be the first to comment on how awesome this new sound is from the band. I cannot wait for the new album. The precious few songs Ive heard off the album so far are frickin awesome.

SOTY really knows how to give a big "fuck you!" to everyone, which is basically the meaning of this song. they did this album the exact way they wanted to, and they didnt do it with any cares about the music critics, they dont care what anyone else thinks, they did it becuase they have a pure love for music,

this song is great. it is definately a different sound than paige avenue, yet still undenyably great. i agree that this song is about not caring what anyone thinks of them. when he says, "In front of doubting eyes We walk this path as one Take on the world tonight" -

This part sort of tells me that they dont care about the doubt people have toward them, as long as they walk the path as "one" (the band united), then the world cant touch them.

my bass player said this song is about how people you like just turn on u. and there the one thats at a loss and if u care, dont. so u dont care anymore . its like a big F U to who ever doesnt like u anymore

dude, if your not gonna say anything positive for feedback, dont say anything at all. granted you have a right to give your opinion. But hell, at least they give it all they got and thats enough for me to lend em my ear.

I think you have it mostly right. I don't know really.

I think mostly this song is based about the band as you both said, but it could also be taken in a relationship standpoint as well. You know, two people together getting negative reactions from their friends and family and them just saying "you know what, fuck you" and the fact that they're together like that makes me even closer to each other. Why I say this, because i'm exactly going through the same thing at this moment.

I personally think this songs about there love for music and how the industry is trying to model them into what they want them to be.

The first verse is like about how they've only just hit it big and how there's so much pressure on them, then it goes on about how hard they work in the line "We walk the longest days, to live the shortest nights". Then I reckon the line "We compromise our hearts to keep them satisfied" is saying the band started to sell out in its early days. Then the line about the past I think is saying that they realise that they aren't making the music they set out to and they realise that what the critics think doesn't mean anything because thats not who they were trying to please in the first place "That's not what we're fighting for" Then They decide not to care about what the media think of them "We don't care anymore"

Then the second verse is just how the band is now united and refuse to sell out. Even if I'm way of I love this song anyway!!! Great lyrics btw, I can't see any mistakes.
