Everybody Is Lyrics
hey, put on a face
you know that i could be a hypocrite again
anyway, it's just a phase
because tommorow is another day, tommorow we can start again
everybody is a liar
everybody has a price
and i know the only reason for it all's to stay alive
smile, make me laugh
it's the only way that i'll be comin' back
oh friend, it's not the end
because tommorow is another day, tommorow we can start again
everybody is a liar
everybody has a price
and i know the only reason for it all's to stay alive
(x2)
sometimes all i want's a liar
sometimes i don't have a price
and i know the only reason for it all's to stay alive
you know that i could be a hypocrite again
anyway, it's just a phase
because tommorow is another day, tommorow we can start again
everybody has a price
and i know the only reason for it all's to stay alive
it's the only way that i'll be comin' back
oh friend, it's not the end
because tommorow is another day, tommorow we can start again
everybody has a price
and i know the only reason for it all's to stay alive
(x2)
sometimes i don't have a price
and i know the only reason for it all's to stay alive

best song on the album they sound alot like nirvana
It's about a high school sort of scenario where popularity is everything. You have to lie about yourself to be accepted but every day is a new performance...
I hated high school.

that sounds like a good explanation. a lot of their songs seem to the point on first listening but when you actually study the lyrics they're actually quite enigmatic.
I'm not sure it's about high school, I think it's just about life in general. Everyone makes mistakes, says things they don't mean, everyone's a hypocrite - it's just how life is. Forgive and forget kinda thing. The last few lines sort of contradict the rest to prove the point, which is why I love it. That's just how I see it anyway.
