Makes alot mroe sense with lyircs in front of you a song clearly about escaping and letting go and free all your emotions and letting somone knowing how you feel.
The coda at the end is beautiful If you listen hard enough, you can hear "And I won't wait for you in silence", sung to a really nice tune
This song is beautiful, from the vocal melody, chilling organs, and surreal verse drumming to the postverse bass interludes.
I'm trying to see a connection between this song and Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" but they convey different points. BRMC's "Howl" focues on the narrator's understanding with another's troubles and despondence. The relationship is strained but the narrator urges his partner that he understands their troubles and wants to fight through them.

"I see the road is long" I think... this is absolutely one of my favorite BRMC songs, Robert just has a way with words.
yeah, the end of the song contains three different vocal lines:
"I don't want to be sad." "I won't wait for you in silence." "I see the road is long."
This song was great in Southland Tales. The continuous shot that Richard Kelly uses is perfect for this song.
I stand corrected. Upon further listening to the song, I think it says "I see the road is hard" not "long" as I had previously stated. I don't know though....either way, I love this song.
